Organic plugs and tunnels in wood, bone, horn and stone. Organics are dramatically lighter than steel at the same diameter, which is why they are the usual choice once a stretch gets large enough for weight to matter.

Organic materials are porous and cannot be autoclaved or soaked. Wipe them clean and dry, oil wooden pieces occasionally with a natural oil to stop them drying and cracking, and wear them only in fully healed, settled stretches.
